My mom has been listening to Christmas music since mid-November. She loves this time of year and decorates the house everything Christmas. I must admit, I am getting excited as I await Santa Paws. I’ve been a very good boy this year – well, mostly a good boy. Okay, okay so I ate some dirt, tried to climb mom’s hibiscus tree, and I keep waking her up at 4:00 in the morning trying to squeeze my head through the cat door. The cat goes right through, and I don’t think it is fair I cannot! Can I hear an awoof? Anyway, my only defense is I am a Shiba Inu. What else can I say?
Our weather here in Phoenix has been perfect for snoozing and watching movies: cloudy and cool. While enjoying a nice nap, I got to thinking about what kind of Christmas song I would sing, if I could actually sing and you could hear me. Here’s what I came up with:
Dashing through streets, with my Shiba curly tail. Over the hills I go, sniffing all the way. My jingle bells are loud, scaring away all the birds. Oh, how fun it is to be me every day of the year. Oh, Kuma dog, Kuma dog, smiling all the way. Oh, what fun it is to be me, every single day! Hey!
Perhaps I should keep my day job. Wait – I don’t have one, other than looking cute and sharing my adventures with ya’all. I’ve been one lucky pup once again this year with all sorts of great trips, travels, hikes, and outings in 2019. I’m healthy and have a wonderful family. Those are the best gifts, but I do hope my stocking is full of goodies.
May your troubles be few; your sorrows even less. May you have a bounce in your step, a smile on your face, and a very Merry Christmas!
Hi! I am Kumaito (Kuma for short), a multi-tan Shiba Inu. My breed is one of the oldest and purest from Japan. I personally was born in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, moved to Friendswood, Texas, and now call Phoenix, Arizona home. I enjoy running or hiking almost every day with my mom, chasing rabbits out of my neighborhood, playing with toys, pestering my brother Edmond, eating, napping … well, I love just about everything and everyone!
My mom, Lorraine Bossé-Smith is kind enough to help me share my Great Adventures, big and small. My mom is a motivational speaker, corporate trainer, business consultant, executive coach, behavioral-wellness expert, and author of eight published books. More importantly, she’s the best doggy mom ever!
