This past Saturday, I just gave a presentation called Breathe, Balance, and Boundaries to the women of North Valley Church were I attend. What a lovely event spent on infusing hope, inspiring change, and igniting transformation! I wanted to touch on the importance of living a balanced life while at the same time highlighting the programs and services I offer.
At the core of our success IS balance. The big question is how do we create balance? Well, we must first have space in our lives to breathe, pray, meditate, and listen to God. Easier said than done for many, which is why I teach the program Finding Time to Get Healthy where I deliver practical ways to manage your life in a more productive way.
We are all given 24 hours a day, but some of us manage to achieve more. We must simply get better at tackling those tasks of life that must be done. We are all made differently, and how we manage our time depends upon our specific personality style, given to us by God. He doesn’t make any mistakes, but we all have strengths and areas needing improvement. I have great assessments online to uncover yours!
Time traps will snare us and prevent us from moving forward, thus my program Tackling Time Traps helps to identify the top traps stopping you and preventing success. Strategies are given by trap on how get out of them and avoid them moving forward.
Combined with understanding your unique wiring, you will be able to get things done in less time and find that quiet time you need. Could you use an extra 30 minutes a day? I often begin with the baseline of your human behavior temperament and build from there. Once you discover your God-given style or way of approaching the world, it will change the way you communicate with others. This begins to create harmony and reduce stress.
Building bridges should be a priority for us all, and we all could improve our communication skills in order to reduce conflict in our lives. Once hurtful words are spoken, they cannot be returned or erased. You can only apologize. My Rewire Your Communication Style training offers great insights into communicating more effectively and in a manner that works better for others. Great for professional teams, anything you learn here will also positively affect your relationship with your spouse, family, children, friends, and neighbors.
Every relationship will test our boundaries, and gadgets, gizmos, social media, and the like will try to tear you and your loved ones apart. A dark force does exist, and its goal is to destroy you and your faith. We must remain steadfast and understand what truly is important and worthy of our time and energy versus what we should unplug and limit. In my workshop Get Your Life Back I help you put things and people in their place to protect your time and energy. Setting healthy boundaries isn’t selfish but self-care!
When we have balance, we are able to respond and have influence in other people’s lives. No matter our age or stage, God calls us to be His Ambassadors…a light in the darkness. We can’t do this is we are run down, sick, and have no boundaries. This is where the Opportunity Scale comes in to help us weigh out those things that come our way. When our “yes” is a “yes,” we serve with a happy, joyful heart. When we say “yes” but really mean “no,” we can be bitter and resentful. No one wins! Be intentional not just with your time but with your health.
Your health requires attention to your mind, emotions, spirit, and body. I love to open people’s eyes to their Fitness Individuality Trait (FIT) in my presentation Finally Get Fit and help them customize a healthy lifestyle based upon their personality type. When it fits you, you do it. When you do it, you get healthier! As a fitness professional, coach, and personal trainer, I can help you maximize your efforts and get the results you seek so you may continue to do God’s work.
I am passionate about health and wellness, and I wrote two books on the subject: Finally Fit and Fit Over 50 In Fit Over 50, you learn how to increase not only your quality of life but quantity! Learn what to focus your attention on no matter your age or stage.
As we strive for a balanced, healthy, spirit-filled life, obstacles will come our way. The more determine we are to move forward, the more hurdles we will have to jump over. I’ve certainly had to overcome my fair share, and in my latest book, Defy Your Diagnosis: Overcome Any Obstacle with the FIT Life Formula I offer insights, inspiration, and strategies for overcoming ANY obstacle so you, too, may defy your diagnosis!
Some challenges are more difficult, and others may last longer. When we find ourselves walking on the long, desert road, we find great comfort in knowing we are not alone! My booklet Walking with God Through Difficult Times is full of hope, encouragement, and God’s promises.
Our testimony becomes a witness to others, and we can help bring others to Christ by simply being human and trusting in God. No matter your title or position, people are looking to you, and I provide ways to influence others through leadership in my training Transform Your Leadership.
I firmly believe each of us can make a big difference, and I encourage others to seek ways to contribute to their neighborhoods, communities, and churches in my motivational talk called The Power of One .
This brings us full circle to a most successful life, one that begins with balance, requires good health, demands we manage our time better to enhance our relationships, and allows us to share the Good News with others. When we are servant leaders, people are attracted to us, and we can do amazing things together! Are you FIT to Lead and Succeed?
On your journey, tips and tools in my work shop Reach the Goal in Record Time can help you become a high performer, and I am here with a wide variety of programs/trainings (as you see from this blog) along with coaching and consulting services. My heart is to improve the quality of your life and business. When you are thriving, you can have a powerful impact in and on the world. We all win! Most of all, God is pleased when we use our gifts and talents He has given us for His Kingdom.
How can I help? I’d love to have a chat and hear what area of your life needs a little more attention. We can discuss ways to get you back on track. What are you waiting for? Find yourself procrastinating, we can work on that, too!
