While recently laid up with surgery, I was missing my mom. She passed away in 1997. I wished I could call her and ask for her help. She would have come and made healing up so much more enjoyable. Of course, she would have also got on my nerves as only a mother can do! How often do we forget what we have when we have it? We see the frustration or the irritation but not the blessing. If you have a mom who can bug you sometimes, be grateful your mom is still alive! Many of us are orphaned. If you have a boss who can be a jerk, be grateful you have a job. So many people are struggling with unemployment. If your spouse has let you down again, be grateful you have someone who loves you the best they can. And if your kids are driving you insane, be grateful. You are blessed!
