I’m not sure how you know me. Maybe we met at a networking event or perhaps you’re a former client of mine. You might just know what you’ve read and seen on my website or social media page. In either case, what you probably don’t know is why I got into human behavior in the first place.
When I was young, I never felt like I fit in. I wasn’t like all the other girls. I was more direct and commanding. I always took charge and didn’t like my time being wasted. I got along with the boys much better and preferred sports. I remember crying at night wondering what was wrong with me. Why couldn’t I be like the other girls?
I spent years of life believing I was a garbage…like God messed up. Even when I entered a male-dominated industry, I still felt lost because I wasn’t exactly like them either. I was a woman, after all. As I had the privilege and honor to lead and mentor others, I got into assessment tools for understanding how people were wired. As I learned about others, I began to discover my own uniqueness for the first time. I realized I wasn’t a mistake but rather a certain temperament that leaned toward driving task and achieving goals. This didn’t make me bad; it was just who I was. This was not only freeing but inspired me to share what I learned with others because no one should feel like they don’t fit in.
I quickly became all about the FIT and developed my own training, coaching, consulting, and fitness business around it. I’ve written books on it, trained, coached, spoke, counseled, and encouraged thousands. I know the power of understanding ourselves first hand, and I want others to celebrate who they are and work to their strengths. When we are comfortable and confident with who we are, the magic begins! We become great contributors and can transform families, relationships, businesses, and the world. It is ALL about the FIT.
