Sure is windy today here in Phoenix, and that is making it chilly. Brrr! This reminds me of Colorado weather. In fact, on a day like this, my mom took me to one of my favorite local spots in Loveland, Colorado: The Benson Sculpture Gardens & Park, located at 2908 Aspen Drive.
Apparently, I am not the only one who enjoys walking the park. Tens of thousands of visitors from around the world come to see the incredible 200-plus works of art every August when they hold the Sculpture show and sale. This gem is free and open every day. Parking is available, and there is a human restroom. Of course, my kind are welcome, but humans please clean up after us so everyone can continue to enjoy the park.
The Sculpture Garden has paved walking paths that weave through beautiful grounds and sculptures. Although it isn’t very big, it is laid out very well with bridges, ponds, and diverse terrain. In other words, it is quite fascinating and interesting to dogs as there is always something new to smell!
On this particular outing, the geese were grazing on the grass. Those are some big birds! My mom said we shouldn’t get too close as they can be grumpy. I said “hello” and kept my distance, but I really wanted to chase them. Just saying.
If you are ever in Northern Colorado, make a point to stop by. You won’t be disappointed!
Hi! I am Kumaito (Kuma for short), a multi-tan Shiba Inu. My breed is one of the oldest and purest from Japan. I personally was born in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, moved to Friendswood, Texas, and now call Phoenix, Arizona home. I enjoy running or hiking almost every day with my mom, chasing rabbits out of my neighborhood, playing with toys, pestering my brother Edmond, eating, napping … well, I love just about everything and everyone!
My mom, Lorraine Bossé-Smith (Founder of the FIT Leader Formula™) is kind enough to help me share my Great Adventures, big and small. My mom is a motivational speaker, corporate trainer, business consultant, executive coach, behavioral-wellness expert, and author of eight published books. More importantly, she’s the best doggy mom ever!
