My mom is really good at making sure I get plenty of exercise, as you know from reading all my blogs! She takes me out on all sorts of adventures, and I am grateful. What I didn’t know is that those times when she leaves the house in fitness gear but doesn’t bring me with her, she is exercising others.
My mom is a fitness professional, and she has been teaching all sorts of classes for over 20 years. I’m not good at math, but I know that is WAY before I came around. One of her favorite classes is her Forever Fit where she offers 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of conditioning, twice a week, at the Glendale Foothills Aquatic & Recreational Community Center there in Glendale, AZ. She has a passion for improving the quality of people’s lives, and she does just that with this group.
This last Friday, I got to meet many of her class members. We hosted a potluck at our house. I knew something was up when she made her famous Sweet & Sour meatballs. Man, those are tasty! I also got to wear my Christmas sweater tie, which meant special guests were coming. Even my brother got into the spirit of things and wore a pretty collar. He wasn’t super happy about it, but he looked like dapper!
The doorbell rang and rang as people poured in. We had a house full! Apparently, everyone knew all about me. I guess I’m famous! Mom has shared our articles with them, and some have taken my advice and hiked trails I suggested. Cool! I love greeting people, and everyone was so friendly. Yes, I was worshiped and adored!
More food came in. This was turning out to be one awesome party! My mom thanked everyone and told them how she really cares about each and every one of them…how she wants them to be healthy so they can enjoy full lives with their kids and grandkids. I love my mom! She’s got such a big heart!
The group showed their love back and gave my mom a gift card of appreciation. She gets to go shopping, and that made her happy. When she’s happy, I’m ecstatic! We ate, drank, and we were merry. It really was a lovely afternoon.
Now that I’ve met this group of people, I won’t be so upset when mom leaves me behind. I know she is making a difference in their lives. Merry Christmas to everyone, and may we all be Forever Fit!
Hi! I am Kumaito (Kuma for short), a multi-tan Shiba Inu. My breed is one of the oldest and purest from Japan. I personally was born in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, moved to Friendswood, Texas, and now call Phoenix, Arizona home. I enjoy running or hiking almost every day with my mom, chasing rabbits out of my neighborhood, playing with toys, pestering my brother Edmond, eating, napping … well, I love just about everything and everyone!
My mom, Lorraine Bossé-Smith (Founder of the FIT Leader Formula™) is kind enough to help me share my Great Adventures, big and small. My mom is a motivational speaker, corporate trainer, business consultant, executive coach, behavioral-wellness expert, and author of eight published books. More importantly, she’s the best doggy mom ever!
