I just love movies, and I’ve said before that I believe the reason why all the super hero movies are so popular is that we desperately want someone to believe in; we want a leader like Captain America, and we’ll follow him anywhere!
I recently saw Solo and thoroughly enjoyed learning about Han Solo. If you aren’t seen the latest Star Wars installment, I encourage you to. It’s entertaining and has lessons for us all.
Super powers come in normal people
Unlike many of our super heroes who have special powers, Han Solo is just a normal guy. In fact, he comes from a very poor background…one void of any support, guidance, or training. Yet, when the situation demands it, he rises to the occasion and does what needs to be done. It isn’t always pretty, but he is leading the way. He harnesses his fear and presses forward.
We can all be heroes
The lesson for us is this: we can all be heroes each and every day by being better leaders.
We simply need to show up and step up!
We need to quit waiting for someone else to do what needs to be done, roll up our sleeves, and just do it!
Your challenge: decide to be the hero and leader you seek.
