Watch any local news channel, and they are reporting about the homeless problem. All across the country, countless people are now living on the streets in desperate situations. I firmly believe we are looking at the wrong side of this. We don’t have a homeless problem; we have a hopeless problem!
Starting with the shutdown of the economy in 2020, people have been living in fear, anxiety, uncertainty and, in many cases, lost everything they had due to the government poorly handling COVID-19. I mean, it is August 2022, and we are STILL dealing with it.
The government pushed its aid upon people, and we are now paying for that in higher prices for EVERYTHING. The worst of it: people sold their souls for that money. People have lost their self-respect and dignity by putting their false hope in the government. Meaning, many people truly believed the government would save them. The only being able to do that is Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior. And every time we go to false gods, we are disappointed, discouraged, and feel hopeless.
This time, though, it is on a global scale. I’m not faulting people. Hardly. In fact, our dishonest government is to blame. They fed us lies, deliberately created a situation that would freak us out and frighten us beyond anything we had encountered in our lifetime. They then positioned themselves as the solution: vote for me, and I will set you free! How messed up is that? Create the problem and then promise to fix it. Yet, they haven’t, and things have gone from bad to worse.
Big cities like Seattle and Los Angeles are out of control. Phoenix isn’t far behind with tent cities. Chicago has more violence than any time in history, and they have some of the strongest gun control. Don’t get me started on that, but I go back to: we have a hopeless problem. People have thrown up their hands and given up, and that is the scariest place of all.
When people feel they can’t earn a living and make ends meet, they feel trapped and lost. The system is now truly working against us. Those who do try to work are being punished with absurd hours, and horrible pay. Those who want to work can’t get hired because of the ridiculous requirements companies have for low-paying jobs. Meanwhile, the government keeps promising more aid.
If you haven’t figured it out yet, for every dollar they give you, they will take back ten. Why do you think they are installing 87,000 more IRS agents? It isn’t to go after the rich; it is to go after US…the hardworking American citizens because they want MORE power, MORE wealth and ultimate control. Please don’t be naïve. This is real.
We need to stop looking to the government for anything right now. Please vote for truth, not lies that are told in campaign ads. We need to look to God, who can truly provide what we need: hope. When we place our eyes upon Him, the worries of the world may not completely go away, but we realize we aren’t carrying them alone. He gave His life for us, and that is more than any greedy, deceitful politician will give us.
The only way we can change the structure and direction of our government is to vote wisely. In the meantime, we can increase our hope and that of others by reminding everyone “God still reigns!” We need to look at helping the lost mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. When we do, the financial side of things will improve as a direct result of having hope once again.
I suspect we will look back on this time in history as one where God allowed us to become very broken so only He could put us back together again. What is impossible for man is not impossible for God. So let us put our hope in the right place, and may we share that hope with others to get them through their dark days. Keep praying with your eyes upon Jesus.
This might be a good time for you to evaluate your own mental health and emotional intelligence. I have an excellent report that uncovers areas needing development that will bring you more balance and fulfillment in life. I’d be happy to review the report with you and provide insights.
