This year held such promise in January before COVID-19 struck us all in some way or fashion. For many of us, our entire industry has been destroyed with no signs of life yet. I’ve mentioned that I have been using my extra time to digitize my scrap books, which has been like walking down memory lane. Some years were stellar with huge accomplishments and victories, and others were riddled with strife and struggle. It is the years with obstacles where we gain our strength to overcome and conquer.
Has 2020 knocked you down? Time to get up and fight! It is okay to grow weary, but it is not okay to give up! Throughout the history of mankind, we have had to fight for the things that matter the most to us: health, safety, relationships, success. I don’t know what battle you have, but I encourage you to stay in the fight. True courage only comes through suffering, and when we keep at it, we can turn our defeats into triumphs. How much sweeter the win when we had to work hard for it!
We must have resolve and be committed to success, regardless of what life throws at us…and 2020 has certainly thrown a bunch of crap at us! Consider this yet another opportunity to roll up those sleeves and turn a crisis into a creative opportunity. You must have the right mindset because your attitudes and thoughts fuel your actions. Those actions take you closer to or further away from your goals.
Some tools I use to keep a positive attitude are: 1) Gratitude – each and every day I am thankful for what I have! 2) Affirmation – I see and speak about what my future will hold for me, using active verbs. 3) Faith – I believe God wants the best version of my dream and the biggest goal I can imagine. How about you? Are you stuck or are you moving forward? A coach can help you focus on the right things, prioritize your actions, and reach your goals despite the setbacks. I’d love to help, so give me a call today!
